CoherentPaaS was mentioned as an example of successful exploitation of the outcome of a European Framework project at the Innovation Ecosystems for European Big Data Economy session at the ICT Conference held in Lisbon (Portugal). Dr. Ricardo Jimenez technical coordinator of CoherentPaaS as well as CEO and Co-Founder of LeanXcale was invited to speak about his experience as enterpreneur in the Big Data arena. In this session it was discussed what are the needs to bring a successful European innovation ecosystem in the big data sector and what is the role of the European Framework in creating and supporting such ecosystem in combination with help from accelerators such as EIT Digital. LeanXcale presented its experience as one of the few startups developing big data technology in Europe, while most of the startups in this area are created in Silicon Valley.
